Petter and Gabriel met at a dinner party in 2014 and immediately bonded over a shared taste in wine, as well as a passion for the wines of northern Italy.
In 2020 the timing was right to go into business together. The import company Budbreak was formed and many top wine makers immediately joined the project. While the passion for Piemonte and Italy lives on, the list is continuously expanding to incorporate our favorite producers from France, Germany, Austria, Spain, South Africa, Australia, USA, and more.
Budbreak’s main focus is the sales to HoReCa, we work with a wide network of sommeliers and buyers to place our producers’ wines in the best restaurants in the country. From the north to the south of Sweden, our wines are featured in Michelin Star-restaurants and cozy wine bars alike.
The sales to private customers through the Swedish monopoly Systembolaget is also a large and very important part of our business.
